Ledger Setup — Printable Checklist

Use this checklist as you follow instructions at ledger.com/start. Print or save for reference.

Pre-Setup

• Buy device from an authorized seller — check packaging for tampering.
• Prepare pen & paper (or metal backup) for recovery seed.
• Ensure PC/Mac has latest OS updates and a working USB port.

Setup Steps

• Download Ledger Live from ledger.com/start.
• Install Ledger Live and open the app.
• Connect Ledger device and choose “Initialize as new device”.
• Create device PIN (memorize, do not store digitally).
• Write down 24-word recovery seed offline and verify it.

Post-Setup

• Install coin apps you need inside Ledger Live.
• Test a small transaction to confirm setup.
• Store recovery seed securely (consider metal backup).
